Callmepimpdaddy
In todays game if you don’t have haters then you’re just not a good player
notafan1
Or you're new to the NBA and the NBA fandom hasn't found a excuse to hate you yet.
NotWD
Scot Barn disagrees
TheLastSecondShot
Most of the hate I see about Scotty has more to with fans hyping him up than with Scotty himself
jackloganoliver
Ya people just hate Raptors fans.
brownbearks
Am people
PurrySquishyKittens
Yea *** raptors fans
samwise141
The team itself is run great. The fans are so trashy. It didn't use to be like this before we got insanely popular in Toronto, I swear.
XtremeJancel
The fan base got bigger, every big team have trashy fans, it’s just that trashy comments they’re more loud/noticeable than the well behaved ones
yarrine11
This is another factor that people don’t mention that creates a lot of haters, not just Scottie but for tons of players
Overenthusiastic fans hyping them up
notSlumpy
Yeah how could people possibly hate on a man who scrubbed their team out the playoffs for most of the last decade
fullmoon223
Like CP3 said, if you don't have haters you're not doing something right.
ChickenJesus
Steph scores on your defenders and hits a little dance Of course people are annoyed with him lol I didn’t think anybody hated him for his personality they just don’t like losing to him
calartnick
Someone made a point that Steph is the good looking rich kid who has a million friends, all the girls love him, gets straight A’s and is also a killer on the court. It’s like dude have a flaw lol.
horny_furry_dog
This why I hate booker lol I just be jealous of him
LifesAMitch
I have two reasons for hating Steph that I think are completely valid:
He beat my team a lot.
Everyone else in the world treats him like the NBA's little angel, and that's very annoying.
lopea182
Most religious
Wow, I love him so much more now.
Neuroxex
"How can you dislike him!? He's so religious!"
notafan1
It's definitely a big deal among a lot of people in the US. It's why all USA presidents have either been or pretends to be Christian or Catholic.
Tibi81
If he was non-religious, there would be something wrong with him?
Austiny1
Religious??? Most religious peeps are self righteous assholes lol
AirJordan6124
PG - Magic
SF - Lebron
C - This is where it gets complicated but I’m taking Kareem
rgarc06
There are 5 acceptable centers IMO: Kareem, Russel, Wilt, Hakeem, and Shaq
Squid_Contestant_69
If you value championships: Russell
If you value scoring/volume stats: Wilt
If you value absolute peaks: Shaq, maybe Hakeem
If you value all of the above+longevity: Kareem
cohonan
Shaq gets the Mike Tyson exception. No real serious boxing fan is going to say Mike Tyson is the best boxer, but there was that glorious moment in time you knew he wasn’t getting beat by anybody.
so-cal_kid
That's actually a great comparison. Those 2 were so dominant and feared at their peaks
piotor87
2000 Shaq was not just in Best Center of all times contention, but straight in GOAT talks.
Shame he chose buffalo wings over sixpack for the rest of his career.
2022-Account
I always thought Kareem was pretty consensus for GOAT center since he’s the only center regularly brought up in overall GOAT conversations
Albreitx
It depends on whether or not you take Wilt & Russell seriously. Russell has the greatest success ever and Wilt has the craziest stats, but their era was wack to say the least
2022-Account
Russell and Wilt played their entire careers before the 1976 NBA/ABA merger. When Bill Russell joined the NBA there were only 8 teams, so obviously it was easier to win a ring.
In contrast, Kareem played from 1969-1989 where he won 5 post-merger rings. Over this period of time the number of teams rose from 22 in 1976 to 25 by 1989.
The situations were quite different.
sfreagin
Hakeem the Dream Olajuwon — drafted #1 ahead of Jordan and no one in Houston regrets it
Also when he retired I think he was top 10 all time in points, rebounds, assists, blocked shots, steals, maybe other stats. Has a quadruple double, almost had 2. If he played in LA or NY or BOS there’d be no debate who the GOAT center is
MoneyMike440
I’m taking Iguodala
breaktaker
Are we really gonna do that thing where we pretend Jose Alvarado doesn’t exist
yungsantaclaus
SF is Lebron, C is Kareem, PG is Magic
Beginning-Antelope32
All-time starting 5 for me:
PG: Magic
SG: MJ
SF: LeBron
PF: Duncan
C: Kareem
N7_Tinkle_Juice
Fellow C here.
My brain says Magic, Lebron and Kareem but my heart says Steph, Bird and Olajuwon.
OnCominStorm
If we're talking starting 5, I'd take Steph over Magic since LeBron is a offensive facilitator and playmaker. Don't need two primary ball handlers.
Samasher17
RJ Barrett at all 3 spots.
nicentidy
PG: Alec Burks
SG: Evan Fournier
SF: RJ Barett
PF: Julius "GOAT" Randle
C: Mitchell Robinson
CaptainKurls
If I’m constructing the goat team I go with Curry, Jordan, Lebron, Duncan, Shaq. If I’m going with strictly the top 5 it’s Magic Jordan Lebron Duncan Kareem
